چکیده

Statement of the problem: The challenge enhancing bond between zirconia and resin remains, efforts continue to determine a simple method for achieving durable bond. Objective: This study aimed evaluate effect different surface conditioning strategies on strength ce-ment. Materials & Methods: Forty specimens (Lava Plus) were fabricated divided into four groups: control (no treatment), pri-mer application (Z-Prime Plus), experimental acid (H2O:HF:H2O2) applica-tion, combination primer (n=10). A dual-cure cement (RelyX Ultimate) was applied over specimens. Shear tests conducted using universal testing machine with cross-head speed 1 mm/min. results analyzed one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's post hoc test within 95% confidence interval. Results: showed that appli-cation alone (22.99 ± 2.49 MPa) (25.24 3.19 had significantly higher than (18.87 3.13 (14.91 3.72 groups (P<0.05). However, there no significant difference group (P=0.396). lowest in all Conclusions: Experimental treatment or could be effective improving strength.

Influence of Pre-Sintered Zirconia Surface Conditioning on Shear Bond Strength to Resin Cement

This study analyzed the shear bond strength (SBS) of resin composite on zirconia surface to which a specific conditioner was applied before sintering. After sintering of either conditioner-coated or uncoated specimens, both groups were divided into three subgroups by their respective surface modifications (n = 10 per group): no further treatment; etched with hydrofluoric acid; and sandblasted w...

Durability of the resin bond strength to zirconia ceramic after using different surface conditioning methods.

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this in vitro study was the evaluation of the bond strength and its durability of two composite resins to zirconia ceramic after using different surface conditioning methods. METHODS Plexiglas tubes filled with composite resin were bonded to zirconia ceramic discs (Cercon) which were either in their original state as supplied by the manufacturer only cleaned in isopr...

Influence of air-particle deposition protocols on the surface topography and adhesion of resin cement to zirconia.

OBJECTIVES This study evaluated the influence of air-particle abrasion protocols on the surface roughness (SR) of zirconia and the shear bond strength (SBS) of dual-polymerized resin cement to this ceramic. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sintered zirconia blocks (n = 115) (Lava, 3M ESPE) were embedded in acrylic resin and polished. The specimens were divided according to the 'particle type' (Al: 110 µ...

Influence of cement thickness on resin-zirconia microtensile bond strength

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of resin cement thickness on the microtensile bond strength between zirconium-oxide ceramic and resin cement. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-two freshly extracted molars were transversely sectioned at the deep dentin level and bonded to air-abraded zirconium oxide ceramic disks. The specimens were divided into 8 groups based on the exp...
